Biking is a great way to discover charms of Hue ancient capital.
You can spend a few hours or the whole day with your friends to witness interesting scenes and local life.
The weather in Hue is quite pleasant almost all year round.
Especially when you bike into the old town, you will enjoy taking photos of beautiful architecture along the way.
Alternatively, you can bike to the countryside to see green paddy fields, rivers, and hills.

Just 15-minute drive from Hue downtown, we have taken a boat out to explore these large lagoon called 'Fa Tam Giang' (Tam Giang Lagoon).
This lagoon is considered one of the largest in the world.
And, we're going to visit villages along the way.
This is the way to experience local life in Hue.
The lagoon is located along the beautiful and peaceful villages where 3 big rivers including O Lao, Huong, and Bo rivers meet.
You'll have a chance to explore amazing nature, visit fishing villages, experience the local simple real life, enjoy fresh seafood, and in some villages, people also do rice farming.
As Hue is an old town, let's discover its traditional handmade products together! 'Luc Bo' , what does it mean?
'Luc' means ‘Six'. Number 6! And, 'Bo' means the ministry, department.
So, we had 6 ministries. Long time ago, they were used to help the Kings run the country.
In the past, they used the word 'Ministry'. So, there were 6 departments.
And here was the place that you can make some crafts by yourself.
Like making 'conical hat', also 'lotus flowers', the paper flowers.
Also, you can make ‘kite'. 'Kite' is a traditional sports in Hue.
Nowadays, Hue has a variety of nice accommodation to choose from.
And, something many people do not know is that Hue also offers natural hot springs.
Just less than an hour from Hue downtown, there are mineral Hot Springs - Alba Hot Springs known to provide incomparable healing qualities.
Here, the mineral water discovered almost 100 years ago flows from the core of the property which sprawls over 50 hectares of lush natural gardens and forests, and delivers a holistic experience unlike any other with balanced and stable mineral properties comparable with the most famous thermal mineral water sources in Europe.

One of the Must-Dos is, of course, to shop in a local market.
And, now it's my pleasure to take you to Dong Ba Market.
Here in Hue. It's like a big local market.
This is the biggest market in Hue City, of the whole province.
That's one of the most important things to know, before we go in how to bargain?
So, you can say like please give me a discount.
Actually, the sellers can speak English and some other languages like Thai or Lao.
But if not, how can we say in Vietnamese?
In Vietnamese, you can try to say 'Yak Yadi’. Or you could say 'Dak Kwah'.
And, what is the number one thing that we should buy from Dong Ba Market?
The thing that you can buy from here are souvenirs...some kind of key chains or some stuff like that.
For locals, they buy a lot of things like clothes or even food.
Especially food specialties. You can buy them here.
So, we are walking across the 'Ao Dai' section where we have a lot of different colors for the clothes.
The ladies and especially female students will come to Dong Ba market to buy this king of clothes.
Students do wear 'Ao Dai' (Traditional Vietnamese Cloth) on which occasions like New Year's.
At school, some time, especially for those who learn from college of pedagogy.
So, they mostly wear 'Ao Dai' to be trained to be a teacher.
This is Ducson Pagoda where there are only Buddhist nuns staying here.
Especially, they also raise orphans here.
Right. An important place for a local community.
It's like doing charity. Considered an orphanage.
When visitors come here, what are the activities they do?
Basically for visitors to this pagoda, they will go to the main temple to worship the Buddha if they are Buddhists.
Otherwise, they can have a look and understand about Buddhism and how people here practice Buddhism.
And another part that is very special here is that they can spend time playing with the kids.
And those who are specialized in medicines or something like that, they can give help and take care of the children.
Those are casual activities.
For those who speak English or are specialized in English, they can be here to help teach English or play sports with the children.
One of the activities that we should do is to enjoy riding a boat.
I hope you'll enjoy the local music shows on the dragon boat.
You're gonna have fun!
